Garapa Decking

Garapa (Apuleia Leiocarpa) is a South American tropical hardwood used for decking in NZ.

Attractive golden coloured timber which will age to driftwood grey if left to weather.

Garapa is high density with good strength, durability and easy to work with.

New Garapa decks should be oiled on all sides to allow timber to properly season in the first year especially if laid close to the ground.

Sizes 90x19mm and 140x19mm – other sizes available on request

Lengths random 1800-4800mm

Pre-coating is highly recommended before laying

Will not bleed or leach

Recommend ‘316’ stainless screws

Factory coating service available
